About Koi and Kingyo
In Japanese culture, koi are seen as a symbol of good luck, prosperity, and perseverance. The word “Koi” itself means “carp” in Japanese, and koi is believed to possess qualities that mirror human characteristics.
Kingyo originated in China and came to Japan about 500 years ago. The word "Kingyo" itself means "gold fish" in Japanese, and it is seen as a symbol of protection from evil, bringing you good luck with money, and prayers for safe birth of baby.
