Description

Shi-moa is a tumbler that incorporates the traditional skills of two cities in Japan. The metalworking technology of Tsubame City in Niigata Prefecture and Yamanaka-nuri in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture both have a 400-year history. When these two traditions come together, the result is a gem that combines old-world tradition with modern stylishness.

Akatsuki & Shiei

The vivid design shows the movement of a craftsman's brush. This gem combines delicacy with strength, and has an elegance that draws the viewer in. The color of the lacquer will change over time to create a calmness, evolving over time into a tumbler that is uniquely yours. The process is one of the pleasures of this product. The double-layer construction prevents condensation from forming even when filled with ice, keeping it warm and cold for a long time.

Production Process

After the entire surface has been coated with lacquer (candy color), the brushing process is very delicate. The brush is brushed in gently at a constant speed and the pattern is drawn diagonally, so that the brush is not relaxed even for a moment until it is released. The concentration and delicate technique are truly craftsmanship. The pattern is never the same, so you can enjoy a tumbler that is unique to you.
